Hey everyone, this is Alex from Lean Into You podcast. Just letting you know, we don't actually have an episode recorded for today. But I did just want to sort of whet your appetite for the conversations that we've booked coming up that we're really excited about. A few weeks ago, the wages team was in North Carolina for a conference. And one of the best parts about it was that I personally got to meet a ton of great people that are super forward thinking, and really passionate about taking early childhood to the next level. Fortunately for us, many of those people did agree to come on our show. So first and foremost, many of our listeners will be familiar with Dr. Carol Brunson day. It is very, very likely that many of us would not be where we are in this field. Without her many decades of advocacy work in early childhood. She was also the former president of na yc. So we are thrilled that she will be talking to us about the future of childcare, especially as it relates to advocacy work and promoting equity within the field. Then we also have Shannon Rudisill, who's the executive director of the Early Childhood funders collaborative. She was a senior leader in the Obama administration working on early childhood programs, and is the former director of the Administration for Children and Families Office of Child Care. And if you don't know about the OCC, they are responsible for administering the Child Care Development Fund grant, which has earmarked over $5 billion of the federal budget to child care specifically. So we're super excited to talk to her about how policymakers can let the lived experiences of educators themselves inform how funds are raised and then distributed at the policy level. Then lastly, we have a few conversations that we're currently finalizing surrounding effective communication with families and understanding the historical context of racism and caregiving specifically, so we can build a more equitable future. So there's a lot to be excited about here on LinkedIn to you and we hope you'll join us along the way for the next few months as we engage in these really important conversations. Take care.
